sitting in a study downstairs. with hannahrose, lynwood, and krista. studied for my theatre quiz tomorrow.
So, that professor, the one I have for theatre, looks and act like a, pardon me, dirtbag. He has a fat belly and wears sloppy jeans and t shirts with holes. He is the technical director for the theatre program so he kind of has right to dress like that for his job and everything, but it's gross. And he is really blunt and tells weird stories to get a point across and swears and tries to "relate" to college students is what I'm guessing. But it gets me thinking. Tons of people here swear and use bad grammar and the teachers try to bring it down to a more informal level so things aren't as boring. I like that to a certain extent, but I realize there is hardly any formality to schooling and professor-student relationships. I find myself, and other people I know, sending quick, informal emails to professors when we can't make it to class or we have a question. I remember my mom teaching me how to write a formal, structured letter and speak clearly when I have something to say. And never swear or talk about inappropriate things Where did that go in society? I don't think we should be all thee and thou and may I please, but there should be a difference between how you talk to peers and how you talk to students/professors.
